Company Description Pawsitive Match Rescue Foundation is a registered Canadian charity and not-for-profit animal rescue based in Calgary, Alberta. The organization is independently run by a committed team of volunteers who focus on saving dogs and cats from life-threatening situations and providing them with a second chance.

Role Description The Financial Director is a volunteer position on the board of directors , responsible for overseeing all financial operations of Pawsitive Match Rescue Foundation.

This position manages budgeting and financial planning, prepares and reviews financial statements, and ensures accurate financial reporting for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies. The Financial Director will monitor cash flow, analyze financial performance,



and provide recommendations to support sustainable growth and responsible use of charitable funds.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust finance and financial planning skills, including experience with budgeting and long-term financial strategy.
- Financial reporting and preparing financial statements in accordance with relevant standards.
- Analytical skills to interpret financial data, assess trends, and support informed decision-making.
- Knowledge of nonprofit or charitable finance, including regulatory compliance and grant or donor reporting.
- Post-secondary education in finance, accounting, business, or a related field; professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA) is an asset.
- Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet tools, along with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with volunteer teams, communicate clearly with non-financial stakeholders, and uphold ethical financial practices.
