Role Description The Food & Beverage Assistant Manager is a full-time, in office role based at Best Western Plus The Arden Park Hotel in Stratford, ON. This position supports the Food & Beverage Manager in overseeing daily operations of restaurant, bar, banquet, and room service outlets, ensuring consistent, high-quality service.

Responsibilities include supervising service staff, coordinating shifts, monitoring food and beverage standards, handling guest inquiries and concerns, and assisting with menu implementation. The role involves training team members, maintaining inventory and ordering supplies, supporting budgeting and cost control, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.



The Food & Beverage Assistant Manager collaborates with other hotel departments to support events, maximize guest satisfaction, and contribute to revenue goals.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Food Service and Food & Beverage operations skills, including familiarity with restaurant and banquet service standards.

Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service skills, with the ability to handle guest concerns and maintain a welcoming, professional environment.

Candidates should possess Training and staff development skills to coach, mentor, and support team members in delivering consistent service.

Candidates should possess Budgeting and basic financial management skills, including cost control, inventory monitoring, and understanding of revenue targets.

Prior experience in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality food and beverage setting in a supervisory or lead role is strongly preferred.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a quick-paced, team-oriented environment.

Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and compliance with local health regulations.

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
