We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Forklift Operator to join our energetic warehouse team. Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to transport goods throughout the warehouse
- Perform heavy lifting of pallets, boxes, and materials safely and efficiently in accordance with safety protocols
- Use warehouse management systems to track inventory movement, update stock levels, and process order picking tasks
- Assist with order picking by accurately selecting items based on pick lists and preparing shipments for dispatch
- Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Utilize clamp trucks for handling specific types of loads requiring specialized gripping mechanisms
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by adhering to safety standards and best practices
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, in a warehouse setting
- Mechanical knowledge sufficient to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance on equipment
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and measurements
- Physical capability to lift heavy loads repeatedly throughout the shift and stand or walk for extended periods
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to heavy machinery operation and warehouse environment
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
