Job Overview
Join our agile team as a Warehouse Associate and become a vital part of our fast-paced distribution environment! In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing inventory, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse
- Manage inventory control processes using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track stock levels accurately
- Assist with order picking and packing using various tools including order pickers and pickers to fulfill customer orders efficiently
- Conduct shipping & receiving activities, ensuring all inbound and outbound shipments are correctly documented and processed
- Stock shelves, organize materials, and maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Support manufacturing or construction-related tasks by handling materials with mechanical knowledge and heavy lifting techniques
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution workflows and improve overall warehouse management practices
Skills
- Proven experience in inventory management, stock control, and warehouse distribution operations
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely and effectively
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 systems, and other inventory control tools
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures, order fulfillment processes, and materials handling techniques
- Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of packaging, load & unload procedures, and construction or manufacturing environments
- Prior warehouse experience with skills in stocking, order picking & packing, heavy lifting, and heavy equipment operation
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for maintaining a safe warehouse environment
