Duties

- Greet customers in a friendly, professional, and welcoming manner.
- Process customer purchases accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, debit, credit, and other forms of payment while maintaining an accurate cash drawer.
- Operate the OLG lottery terminal, including selling lottery tickets, validating winning tickets, processing lottery transactions, and following all OLG policies and procedures.
- Support pharmacy team where applicable
- Assist customers with product inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Stock shelves, coolers, and displays while ensuring merchandise is organized and attractively presented.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock or product shortages.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe front shop, checkout area, and customer-facing displays.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including cash balancing, lottery reconciliation, and preparing daily reports as required.
- Ensure promotional signage, pricing,



and product displays are accurate and up to date.
- Follow company policies regarding cash handling, loss prevention, and security procedures.
- Assist with general housekeeping duties, including sweeping, dusting, and sanitizing high-touch surfaces.
- Respond to customer concerns professionally and escalate issues to management when appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Comply with all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

- Prior experience working in a retail environment is highly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service with a positive, skilled attitude.
- Comfortable handling cash, debit, and credit card transactions accurately.
- Basic math skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, punctual, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Comfortable using point-of-sale (POS) systems and OLG (Lottery) system or willing to learn.
- Maintains a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout and front shop area.
- Works well independently and as part of a team.
- Follows company policies, safety procedures, and loss prevention practices.
