Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Full Stack Developer role based in Ottawa, ON.
The Full Stack
Developer will design, develop, and maintain web applications that power Clipstar’s content distribution platform, working across front-end and back-end components.
Responsibilities include implementing new features, optimizing performance, integrating third-party APIs, and ensuring robust, secure, and scalable architecture. The role involves collaborating with product, design, and marketing teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, writing clean and testable code, and participating in code reviews.
The developer will also monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tooling.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess robust front-end development skills, such as proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, or Angular), HTML5, CSS3, and responsive UI design.
- Candidates should possess solid back-end and database skills, including experience with server-side languages (e.g., Node.js, Python, or Ruby), RESTful APIs, and relational or NoSQL databases.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of cloud and DevOps practices, such as containerization (e.g., Docker), CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and deployment to cloud platforms.
- Candidates should possess skills in software engineering best practices, including testing, debugging, code review participation, and writing maintainable, scalable code.
- Candidates should possess strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams in an on-site environment.
- Experience with content platforms, media distribution, or analytics dashboards is beneficial.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
