We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lube Technician / Wash Bay Attendant to join our automotive service team. This dual-role position combines hands-on vehicle maintenance with wash bay operations and is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine heavy-duty services such as oil changes and basic inspections, as well as cleaning and washing heavy-duty trucks and trailers to a high standard. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
While prior dealership or mechanical experience is preferred, we welcome candidates who are eager to learn and grow within the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
Lube Technician Duties
- Perform oil changes and fluid top-offs efficiently and accurately
- Conduct basic vehicle inspections to identify potential issues
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and service equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Communicate services performed and address customer questions professionally
- Recommend additional services when appropriate
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Wash Bay Duties
- Wash heavy-duty trucks and trailers thoroughly and efficiently
- Operate automated wash equipment
- Safely handle and apply a variety of cleaning chemicals, including acids
- Inspect vehicles after washing to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wash bay area
Qualifications
- Previous dealership or mechanical experience is an asset
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and maintenance
- Strong attention to detail, especially in cleaning and finishing work
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and wash equipment
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing manual tasks
- Robust work ethic and positive, team-oriented attitude
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to learn and take on both mechanical and wash bay responsibilities
- Must have a drivers license and your own vehicle
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
