Build a Coaching Career at Denman Athletics
At Denman Athletics, we believe coaching changes lives.
We're a coaching-first strength and conditioning facility in Vancouver's West End, helping busy adults become stronger, fitter and healthier through personal training delivered in a small group format.
We're looking for an experienced coach with a minimum of three years' coaching experience who is looking for a long-term home where they can continue developing professionally while making a genuine impact on people's lives.
This isn't a role for someone looking to coach a handful of sessions each week.
We're looking for someone who wants to become an integral part of our coaching team and contribute to the continued growth of Denman Athletics.
The Opportunity
As a Full-Time Strength & Conditioning Coach, your primary responsibility will be delivering exceptional coaching to our members.
However, at Denman Athletics, coaching is only part of the role.
Like every full-time member of our team, you'll also contribute to the day-to-day growth and success of the business outside of coaching hours. Whether that's supporting member retention, creating content, helping onboard new members, assisting with events or contributing ideas that improve the business, we're looking for someone who wants to be involved.
We're building a team of coaches who care deeply about helping people achieve long-term results while continually striving to improve themselves professionally.
Coaching ResponsibilitiesPersonal Training in a Small Group Format The majority of your coaching will involve delivering strength-focused Personal Training in our Small Group Format (SGPT).
These sessions have a maximum of five members, allowing you to coach every individual while maintaining the energy and accountability of a small group environment.
Responsibilities include
- Delivering exceptional strength-focused coaching.
- Conducting consultations and goal-setting sessions.
- Completing movement assessments and InBody assessments.
- Modifying exercises for injuries, limitations and varying abilities.
- Tracking member progress.
- Providing practical nutrition guidance and accountability.
- Building genuine relationships with members.
- Creating an environment where members feel supported, challenged and excited to return.
Conditioning Sessions You'll also coach our conditioning sessions, designed to complement our strength programme.
These coach-led sessions focus on improving cardiovascular fitness,
endurance and overall health through structured, repeatable programming that meets members where they're at.
Our goal isn't to leave people exhausted—it's to help them become fitter while leaving the gym feeling energised and ready for the rest of their day.
