Company Description Little Warriors is a national charitable organization based in Canada dedicated to the awareness, prevention, and treatment of child sexual abuse. The organization raises public awareness and provides information to help communities understand and address this issue.
Little
Warriors advocates for the rights, needs, and interests of children to ensure they are respected and protected. Through prevention programs, the organization offers education and strategies to adults to reduce the risk of abuse.
Little
Warriors also operates a treatment facility that supports children in coping with the lasting impacts of abuse and healing in a safe, supportive environment.
Role Description This is a full-time, in office Fundraiser role based in Edmonton, AB. The Fundraiser will plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising campaigns and events to support Little Warriors’ programs and services. Day-to-day responsibilities include cultivating and maintaining relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners; preparing proposals and grant applications; and conducting outreach to expand the donor base.
The role also involves developing fundraising materials, managing fundraising data and reporting, and collaborating with internal teams to align fundraising efforts with organizational priorities. The Fundraiser will represent Little Warriors at community events and meetings,
ensuring accurate and respectful communication of the mission and impact.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in fundraising, donor relations, and sponsorship development, preferably within the nonprofit or charitable sector.
Skills in event planning and coordination, including budgeting, logistics, and post-event evaluation.
Strong communication skills, including clear writing for proposals, donor correspondence, and outreach materials, as well as confident public speaking and presentations.
Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with donors, community organizations, volunteers, and internal teams.
Comfort working with sensitive topics and a commitment to trauma-informed, respectful, and inclusive communication.
Organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
Proficiency with fundraising and CRM databases, spreadsheets, and basic office software for tracking donations and generating reports.
Knowledge of or interest in issues related to child protection, advocacy, and mental health is an asset.
Post-secondary education in fundraising, nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work on-site in Edmonton, AB, including occasional evenings and weekends for events.
