As we expand our impact, we’re seeking a dedicated Crowdfunding Specialist to help us build sustainable support for our mission.

Role Overview

Planet Watch is looking for a motivated and creative Fundraiser – Crowdfunding Specialist to design, launch, and manage online fundraising campaigns—primarily through GoFundMe. This role is ideal for someone who understands digital storytelling, donor psychology, and the fast-moving world of online giving. You will shape compelling narratives, coordinate campaign logistics, and drive donor engagement to help Planet Watch grow its climate education programs.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute crowdfunding campaigns on GoFundMe and similar platforms
- Craft clear, emotionally resonant campaign stories, visuals, and updates




- Conduct audience research to identify potential donor groups and outreach strategies
- Manage campaign timelines, milestones, and donor communications
- Promote campaigns through social media, email outreach, and partner networks
- Track performance metrics and adjust strategies to maximize donations

Qualifications

- Experience running or supporting crowdfunding campaigns (GoFundMe preferred)
- Robust writing and digital storytelling skills
- Passion for climate education, youth engagement, or nonprofit work
- Basic design skills (Canva or similar) considered an asset
