FX Business Analyst
Location: Toronto, ON
Onsite Flexibility: Hybrid — 2 days in office, 3 days work from home (could potentially change to 4 days in office); anchor day Wednesday, second day flexible
Contract Details
- Position Type: Contract
- Contract Duration: 18 months (with potential for extension and conversion based on business needs and performance)
- Shift / Schedule: Monday–Friday, core business hours — 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day; overtime possible

Job Summary TD Securities Fixed Income Operations has an exciting opportunity where Innovation is more than a buzzword, where Talent Development is foundational, and where a Culture of diversity, individuality, and engagement is of primary focus. The opportunity is in the form of Lead Operations Officer, Fixed Income Settlements.
This role sits within a team of 6 and involves managing fixed income settlement products as the core functional responsibility, with interaction both internally and externally across TD's business lines and external vendors/providers.

Functional Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve Fixed Income settlement exceptions in CDS and CDCC
- Perform daily CAD settlements for repo, pledge, bond, and safekeeping trades
- Investigate and resolve cash breaks and depository breaks
- Build strong relationships with all business partners locally and globally
- Liaise with regional/Global Fixed Income settlement teams for efficient cross-border settlement
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within areas of responsibility
- Coordinate documentation of processes and ensure knowledge continuity with teammates
- Identify risk in cash wire payments and escalate appropriately
- Respond to emails in all team mailboxes
- Manage individual and team requests
- Cross train on all settlement desks to add depth for team coverage during staff vacations and absences
- Ad hoc requests (audit confirmations, answering queries)
- Attend team meetings
- Be involved with serviced businesses internal to TD and external vendors/providers
Required Skills
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong time management and priority management skills
- Attention to detail; self-starter and adaptable
- MS Office basic knowledge — Excel
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of the Canadian Depository System
- Education related to fixed income or bonds
- Knowledge of what bonds are, principal values, etc.
- Banking or financial institution experience
- CSC certification
Required Experience
- 1 years of experience within customer service in the context of settlements and fixed income products (0–2 years overall experience considered; 1 year preferred)
Nice-to-Have Experience
- Experience with Canadian Depository System workflows
- Background in banking or financial institution environments
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Weekly team meetings averaging 30 minutes per week
- This team does not follow the standard furlough calendar
- Training period consists of TD onboarding plus up to 8 weeks of ongoing training before hitting the ground running
