Responsibilities
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment to support project needs
- Prepare work sites by cleaning, organizing, and setting up necessary supplies and safety barriers
- Carry out basic construction or maintenance tasks under supervision, including digging, lifting, and moving heavy objects
- Support skilled tradespeople by handing them tools and materials promptly and efficiently
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment for yourself and colleagues
- Perform routine inspections of equipment and work areas to identify hazards or issues needing attention
- Maintain cleanliness of the work site to promote safety and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle
Experience
- Previous experience in general labour or construction is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and willingness to learn
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude and reliable work ethic
- Basic understanding of safety procedures related to construction or industrial environments
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and collaborate effectively with team members
