General Labourer/ Swamper (Oilfield Services)

This role combines general shop and yard labour with field swamper responsibilities, supporting the safe handling, movement and processing of oilfield tubulars and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with loading, unloading, moving and securing pipe, equipment and materials.
- Support truck operators during deliveries and equipment moves by providing clear direction when backing, positioning and maneuvering vehicles.
- Safely secure loads using chains, straps and other load securement methods.
- Perform general labour duties in the shop, yard and field as required.
- Complete general cleaning and maintenance of equipment, tools and work areas.
- Assist with pre-use inspections of equipment and report maintenance concerns.
- Follow all company safety policies, customer requirements and safe work procedures.
- Work safely around heavy equipment while maintaining awareness of surrounding hazards.
- Contribute to a clean, organized and protected work environment.
- Support quality initiatives while maintaining a professional attitude and commitment to customer service.

Experience & Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent.




- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence (Class 3 or Class 1 is considered an asset).
- Strong commitment to safety.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying and moving materials.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of application.

The Following Are Considered Assets (Training Provided)

- Oilfield, pipe yard or swamper experience.
- Machining or mechanical experience.
- Knowledge of API casing and tubing connections.
- H2S Alive.
- Standard First Aid.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift, carry and move heavy materials safely.
- Able to stand, walk, bend and perform physically demanding work throughout the day.
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments in all weather conditions.
