Join the Eeyou Marine Region Planning Commission as a GIS Analyst, leading spatial analysis, database management, and community mapping initiatives. This full-time, one-year contract position is based remotely near Montréal. As the GIS Analyst, you will be instrumental in developing and managing geospatial databases that support environmental, cultural, and land-use planning.

Your expertise in GIS software, advanced spatial analysis, and community engagement will enhance resource management efforts in the Eeyou Marine Region. - Establish centralized, accessible spatial databases for planning




- Develop systems for data collection and verification
- Conduct advanced spatial analysis for policy foundations
- Design impactful maps and prepare comprehensive reports
- Maintain databases and spatial metadata Requirements:
- University Degree in GIS or related field
- Minimum two years of skilled GIS experience
- Familiarity with ESRI software and spatial analysis methods
- Fluency in English required, French and Cree assets
