Lead the Health and Safety initiatives at the County of Grande Prairie. This role requires building relationships and fostering collaboration while focusing on workplace safety management systems. As Supervisor of Health and Safety, you will report to the General Manager of People and Organizational Development.

You will be instrumental in developing comprehensive health and safety programs, engaging with leaders, and ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations. This position requires a team-oriented approach to champion a culture of safety and operational excellence within the organization. Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain the County’s Health and Safety programs
- Maintain Certificate of Recognition (COR) and implement action plans




- Coach leaders and employees on safety inquiries
- Lead and mentor Health and Safety teams
- Conduct workplace risk assessments and hazard analyses Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- 3-5 years of supervisory-level safety experience
- Experience with audits and investigations
- Knowledge of Alberta OHS legislation
