Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our agile maintenance team. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on heavy machinery, including engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills.
- Repair or replace faulty components such as belts, pumps, valves, motors, and control systems.
- Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage electrical experience to troubleshoot automation systems.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Conduct welding, HVAC repairs, boiler servicing, and other industrial maintenance tasks as needed.
- Interpret schematics and technical diagrams to facilitate precise repairs and installations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic or industrial maintenance technician in manufacturing or similar environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals fluently.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, and low voltage controls.
- Skilled in welding, HVAC systems, boiler maintenance, and general industrial electrician work.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and record keeping.
- Excellent analysis skills to identify root causes of equipment failures quickly.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
- Customer service mindset with a proactive approach to safety and troubleshooting.
