Fancy Windows is a 100% Canadian manufacturer and supplier of windows and doors. Our customers include builders, architects, and contractors - from current constructions to the regular household. We aimed towards becoming the leading window manufacturer with quality and efficient service.

We are looking for a motivated and hardworking "Service Helper" to help grow our service team. Primary duties include, but are not limited to, assisting service technicians at the customer’s job site.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Assisting for repairs at customers’ homes by adjusting components, replacing parts and pieces, taking measurements, and documenting all work performed.
- Responsible for driving to locations as directed by pre-set appointments according to territory assigned.
- Responsible for requisitioning parts from internal suppliers necessary to perform fieldwork.
- Load and unload materials from truck onto work site and vice versa.
- Adhere to all facets of safety policies and procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment.
- Well organized and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills; written and verbal
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, work independently, and able to meet service call deadlines

Qualification

- A minimum of one-year prior customer service experience is required.




- No prior glass or window experience is necessary; however, technical/mechanical ability or background is preferred.
- Valid Class C driver’s license with a clean DMV record
- Proficient use of hand tools including; tape measure, level, saws, drills, etc.
- Able to compute basic math problems.
- Problem-solving ability and ability to handle stressful situations.
- Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to discern colors.
- Sense of direction with the ability to use navigation systems, self-motivated, and mechanically inclined.
- Must be physically capable of climbing ladders up to 40 feet, working off scaffolding, lifting and carry up to 50lbs.

Other skills and qualifications:

- Work experience in the windows and door manufacturing industry would be considered an asset.
