The Role The HVAC Specialist will be assisting the service department in the construction and maintenance of air supported structures. This position will require travel in Canada and USA mainly between September to December for 3-5 days at a time, and the ability to work remotely from home on HVAC design and consultation between January to August. This person will keep up with the latest industry trends and have the ability to deliver excellent customer service.
The Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Perform routine preventative maintenance
- Inspect and perform equipment repairs and replacements.
- Respond to emergency service requests
- Read blueprints and install or repair HVACR systems
- Install electrical wiring and controls and test for proper operation
- Inspect and maintain customers' HVACR systems
- Troubleshoot components to determine necessary repairs
- Repair or replace worn or defective parts
- Determine HVACR systems energy use and make recommendations to improve efficiency
- Work in a team environment
Job Requirements
- Previous experience working with fan coils, ERV, heat pumps and fans
- Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract
- Fully licensed G1
- Must be dedicated to learning and keeping up with growing advances in the industry
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Must be bondable
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to work on call/overtime/weekends if required
