Subzi Mandi Cash & Carry is hiring one experienced Indian Cook for our in-store kitchen at 9825 Chinguacousy Road, Brampton, ON L6X 0V1.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Indian dishes, including curries, vegetarian dishes, appetizers and tandoori items
- Follow standardized recipes and maintain consistent food quality
- Prepare ingredients and manage daily kitchen production
- Maintain a clean, protected and organized kitchen
- Follow food-safety, sanitation and workplace procedures
- Monitor inventory and reduce food waste
- Work efficiently during busy periods and assist with catering orders when required
Requirements:
- Previous experience cooking Indian cuisine in a restaurant, commercial kitchen or grocery food-service environment
- Knowledge of Indian spices, cooking methods and food preparation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment
- Food Handler Certificate is an asset
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
