This temporary full time position focuses on implementation, coordination, and evaluation of improvements to raise care standards. In this pivotal role reporting to the Regional IPAC Specialist, you'll oversee infection prevention strategies, lead outbreak responses, and educate staff on infection control principles.

You'll develop training programs that align with legislation and health care standards, ensuring the home complies with guidelines mandated by the Long-Term Care Homes Act. Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and implement infection prevention practices
- Generate monthly surveillance reports and perform daily monitoring




- Educate and train staff on infection prevention principles
- Lead the influenza vaccination initiative annually
- Analyze infection trends and recommend strategic improvements Requirements:
- RN/RPN degree or diploma preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in infection control
- CIC-LTC certification is required
- Proficiency in microbiology and infectious diseases
