Role Description The Instrumentation Control Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at Milk Factory’s facility in Toronto, ON. This role is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing instrumentation and control systems used in dairy processing, including sensors, controllers, and automation equipment.

Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, executing preventive maintenance, calibrating instruments, and diagnosing equipment issues to minimize downtime. The technician will collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure equipment operates safely, accurately, and in compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. Documentation of work performed,



updating maintenance logs, and supporting process improvements are also key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve instrumentation and control issues.
- Hands-on experience with instrumentation, control systems, and related industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of electricity and electrical safety practices in an industrial environment.
- Experience performing calibration of sensors, meters, and control devices.
- Ability to execute preventive maintenance plans and follow standard operating procedures.
- Relevant technical diploma, trade certification, or equivalent experience in instrumentation, electrical, or industrial maintenance.
- Familiarity with food or beverage processing environments, or other regulated manufacturing settings, is an asset.
- Ability to work on-site in a production environment, occasionally on shifts or weekends as needed.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
