Inventory and Project Manager
Reports To: Director of Operations and Product Development
Scope The Inventory and Project Manager is responsible for planning production, managing inventory, coordinating raw material deliveries, and leading operational and capital projects. This role works closely with Production, Sales, and Finance to ensure materials are available, production runs efficiently, customer orders are met, and projects are completed on time and within budget.
Education and Experience
· Postsecondary education in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably plastic injection moulding
· Experience with production scheduling, inventory management, and project management
· Experience using ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and project management software
Duties and Responsibilities
Inventory and Production Planning
· Develop and maintain appropriate inventory levels for raw materials and finished goods that satisfy on time customer demand
· Create and maintain production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacity.
· Schedule raw material deliveries to support production
· Monitor inventory levels and adjust as business needs change
· Maintain accurate inventory records within the ERP system
· Coordinate cycle counts and physical inventories
· Identify and reduce excess or obsolete inventory
· Work with Purchasing to ensure materials arrive on time
· Develop, document, and maintain quality standards and inspection procedures for products and processes
· Conduct audits of manufacturing processes to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory compliance.
· Monitor, document and track scrap throughout the manufacturing process
Project Management
· Plan and coordinate capital and operational improvement projects
· Support new product launches
· Track project schedules, progress and provide the financial controller with budget information
· Coordinate project activities across departments
· Identify project risks and help resolve issues to keep projects on schedule.
Process Improvement
· Identify opportunities to improve inventory control, scheduling, and production efficiency
· Assist with improving manufacturing processes and material flow
· Develop and maintain standard planning procedures
Reporting
· Prepare reports on inventory, production schedules, and project status
· Monitor key performance indicators and recommend improvements
· Use ERP systems and Microsoft Excel to analyze data and support decision making
General
· Work closely with Production, Sales, and Finance
· Support customer delivery requirements through effective planning
· Perform other related duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills
· Good understanding of manufacturing operations, preferably injection moulding
· Knowledge of inventory management and production scheduling
· Experience using ERP systems
· Strong Microsoft Excel skills
· Experience with project management software
· Strong organizational and planning skills
· Good problem solving and analytical skills
· Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
· Strong communication and teamwork skills

Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
