Overview

Join our agile team as an IPCT Community Health and Communication Specialist, where you will play a vital role in fostering community well-being through effective health communication and outreach. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to engage with diverse populations, especially individuals with disabilities, and to promote health education initiatives that make a real difference. Responsibilities

- Develop and implement community outreach strategies focused on health education and awareness.
- Conduct data collection activities to assess community needs, preferences, and feedback related to health services.
- Deliver engaging presentations and public speaking engagements to diverse audiences about health topics and available resources.
- Collaborate with local organizations, service providers, and stakeholders to coordinate health promotion activities.
- Provide tailored support and information to individuals with disabilities, ensuring accessibility and inclusivity in all communications.
- Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, participant engagement,



and data collected for reporting purposes.
- Assist in training community members or volunteers on effective communication techniques and health education methods.

Requirements

- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in inclusive community settings.
- Strong skills in data collection methods, including surveys, interviews, or focus groups.
- Proven ability to teach or facilitate learning sessions effectively across various age groups.
- Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences confidently.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated organizational skills for managing multiple outreach projects simultaneously.
- A proactive attitude with a passion for community health promotion and social equity.
