About Agapé International Agapé International is a non-profit organization operating under the French Law of 1901. Our NGO was officially registered in France in December 2019 by the Prefecture des Hauts de Seine. It’s also legally attached to “Christ our Rehoboth International Ministries” – an Evangelical Church – which is registered in Central Africa.

Agapé supports orphans and widows in Ivory Coast, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and the Republic of Congo.

In partnership with our dedicated network of local volunteers, we collaborate directly with orphanages or, in some cases, provide direct housing and care to ensure that vulnerable children receive essential food supplies and long-term educational support.

Beyond orphan care, Agapé is also committed to helping widows and their children rebuild their lives.

In certain regions, widowed women are stripped of their possessions by in-laws and left without means to support their families. We’ve encountered powerful stories of resilience, women who are ready to fight for their future. To support their economic independence, we help launch small, viable businesses such as hair salons, sewing workshops, or fruit and vegetable market stalls.

- These metrics are based on the children that Agapé sent back to school from 2024-2025. We do however also support other children by providing them with hygiene kits, food supplies, and clothes.

At Agapé, our goal is simple: restore dignity, create prospect, and offer hope to those society too often forgets.

Our work across Africa

Access to education for every child In Ivory Coast, we partner with local orphanages and NGOs in the remote rural towns of Kotobi, Saioua and Danané, to provide essential resources – food, clothing, and sanitary products to children in need. We are also supporting widows and their children, helping them gaining some economic independence by sponsoring any small business projects they may have.



Our local representatives based in Abidjan are in regular contact with the NGOs, the children and widows we support.

But our commitment goes beyond basic care.

We believe every child deserves the right to education . That’s why, since our third year of operation, we made it our mission to ensure that the majority of the orphans under our care are enrolled in school. Our three local representatives make regular visits to the children and widows, get the copies of all the children’s school reports and convey to us any issue requiring our attention.

Education Needs: Year-Round Image: Since 2021, in September, we enrol the children in their schools. We buy their school manuals, supplies, schoolbags, school uniforms, shoes and bring them to each child.

Direct care in the Democratic Republic of Congo In the Democratic Republic of Congo, Agapé provides full-time care for 18 children , who are housed in our Agapé home located just outside of Kinshasa. The children are being looked after by our local team. We not only ensure their daily needs are met, but also fully cover their education.

In addition, we support 71 other orphans who live either with their widowed mothers or in host families, carefully selected by our local representatives. These children also benefit from Agapé’s support either for school fees, school supplies and/or other basic necessities (healthcare, food, housing…). Each story, each situation gets the full attention of our local team.

Supporting widows and orphans in the Republic of Congo In the Republic of Congo, Agapé focuses on supporting widows and their children by providing regular food packages and covering essential educational needs for the orphans. Our aim is to ease the burden on families facing extreme hardship and ensure that children can stay in school despite their circumstances.

she amazed us with her resilience and we found a sponsor willing to help her set up her little hairdressing salon.

Empower widows through economic independence In regions where widows are disowned and left with nothing, we step in to fund small, sustainable businesses – such as tailoring shops, hair salons, and food stalls – enabling women to support their families with dignity.

Your financial support helps us provide food, hygiene and beauty products, school supplies, uniforms, and small business grants for widows. Every contribution – no matter the size – goes directly to those in need. As a donor, you’ll receive photos and thank-you messages from the recipients after each donation event, so you can see the impact you’ve made.

Ready to go to school in Kinshasa Sponsor a child

Support a child’s education by covering their school fees, materials, and basic needs for a full year. Sponsorship brings stability, dignity, and the hope of a brighter future.
