Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems
- Complete residential, commercial, industrial, and service work
- Perform electrical installations, upgrades, renovations, and maintenance
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair fire alarm systems (where certified)
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Complete service reports and required documentation




- Deliver professional, courteous customer service on every job
- Maintain company safety standards and comply with all OH&S; regulations

Qualifications

- Alberta Journeyman Electrician Certificate (Required)
- Registered 4th Year Apprentices may also be considered
- Previous service and troubleshooting experience preferred
- Experience with commercial electrical systems
- CFAA (Canadian Fire Alarm Association) Certification is a strong asset
- Experience with fire alarm inspections, testing, and maintenance is an asset
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Solid attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Proficient with electrical testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools
- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract
- Must be local to Grande Prairie, Alberta, or able to commute reliably
- Reliable transportation
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test

Safety Certifications The following certifications are considered assets. Training may be provided for the right candidate.

- CSO
- H2S Alive




- Standard First Aid/CPR
- Fall Protection
- Aerial Work Platform ( AWP)
- Other industry-recognized safety certifications

Work Environment

- Primarily local service work in Grande Prairie and surrounding areas
- Occasional out-of-town and camp work may be required based on project needs
- Occasional 21/7 rotations may be required for specific projects
- Overtime opportunities available
- On-call rotation may be required
- Fast-paced, hands-on, physically demanding work setting
