Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a Lawyer or Paralegal Assistant supporting Able Consulting Limited’s food production operations. The role involves reviewing, drafting, and maintaining commercial contracts, supplier agreements, and service-level documents.

The successful candidate will help ensure compliance with relevant food, safety, and business regulations, conduct legal research, and prepare clear summaries and guidance for internal stakeholders. Daily tasks include managing document workflows, organizing legal files, tracking key dates and obligations, and coordinating with operations, finance, and management teams. The role also includes responding to legal queries, supporting risk assessments,



and assisting with policy and procedure updates as needed.

Qualifications

- Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills, with the ability to summarize complex information clearly.
- Experience reviewing, drafting, and managing commercial contracts or similar legal documents.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks, ideally related to food production, manufacturing, or general commercial law.
- Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail, including document control and deadline tracking.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams in a remote setting.
- Proficiency with standard office software and document management tools; comfort working in a fully remote environment.
- Prior experience as a lawyer, paralegal, or legal assistant in corporate or commercial settings is preferred.
- Relevant legal education (law degree, paralegal certification, or equivalent) and authorization to work in the applicable jurisdiction.
