Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Lead Cook. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the food industry, with a focus on preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. Leadership and team management skills are necessary. The position offers an opportunity to display culinary skills and kitchen management. The ideal candidate will oversee and coordinate daily activities of cooks.

Duties

- Responsible for cooking and food preparation, following established recipes and safety guidelines
- Manage inventory levels, stock workstations, and order food supplies.
- Train recent kitchen staff on cooking methods and cleaning procedures, and help manage staff schedules
- Handle food items safely, maintaining proper hygiene and sanitation standards
- Prepare meals according to menu specifications, ensuring quality and presentation
- Clean and maintain the cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas throughout shifts




- Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional food service experiences
- Assist in meal assembly and plating for service periods
- Assist with back kitchen work and cleaning.

Experience

- Prior experience in Cooking, food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is mandatory .
- Knowledge of food handling, preparation, and safety procedures is advantageous
- Experience with meal preparation, cooking, or the food industry will be considered a strong asset
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude are essential for success in this role

Job Type: Part-time Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
