Job Summary:

Welcome to Tiny Timbers Children's Academy, we are two moms who wanted to create an environment for children that feels like their home away from home. Our programs include Infant Toddler, 3-5 Full day, Junior Kindergarten, and Out of School Care. We are seeking a passionate and nurturing Early Childhood Educator to join our Junior Kindergarten team.

Our approach to early childhood education is rooted in the principles of Emergent curriculum, recognizing that learning emerges naturally when children are engaged in meaningful and authentic experiences. Teachers facilitate learning by creating learning experiences based on children’s interests and they provide challenges and activities that foster discovery.

This position is for those interested in teaching in the Out of School Care and Junior Kindergarten program from 3 years to 12 years old. Early Childhood Educator Certificate is required for this role. ECEA cannot be accepted.

Responsibilities:

- Create and implement lesson plans that align with our curriculum
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for children to explore, learn, and socialize
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Use effective teaching strategies to engage children in learning activities
- Assess and monitor each child's progress and provide feedback to parents
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive learning environment




- Follow policies and procedures to ensure proper health, cleanliness, safety, and organization

Skills & Experience

- Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
- Good time management skills
- Excellent written communication skills for documenting children's progress and communicating with parents
- Strong verbal communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues effectively
- Organizational skills to maintain an orderly classroom

Requirements:

- Valid Early Childhood Educator license
- Must have valid first aid certificate
- Minimum 2 years experience
- Criminal Record Check required
- Proficient technological skills, we will communicate with parents using the Procare App
- Excellent communication skills
- Have strong problem-solving skills and strong ability to multi-task

Compensation

- We offer 22-25$ an hour plus wage enhancement dependent on education and experience.

Start Date will be September 9th Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
