Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our vibrant kitchen team. Positions open for both Nanaimo locations at Rock City and Southgate and Parksville. In this role, you will be essential in preparing delicious meals with precision and care, ensuring each guest receives high-quality food in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation
- Follow food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation




- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
- Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple orders seamlessly
- Adhere to all restaurant policies related to serving guests responsibly and safely

Skills

- Prior experience in food service or restaurant kitchens is highly preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively under pressure
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and recipes accurately
- Passion for meal preparation and delivering exceptional food experiences
- Willingness to learn new skills and contribute positively to the kitchen environment

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
