Production Supervisors, and Production Manager

Job Summary The role involves monitoring production line performance and assisting in training current employees on job duties and safety procedures.

Responsibilities include resolving worker issues with the production supervisor, boosting employee morale, assessing performance, demonstrating equipment operations, and fostering teamwork through clear expectations and recognition of outstanding work. Additionally, the position entails providing leadership in employee relations through effective communication, coaching, and development, as well as coordinating work assignments and special projects. Other duties may also be assigned as needed.

Responsibilities Associated with Performing the Job

Production

- Ensure that work orders are completed in a timely fashion, within budget
- Maintain a safe, clean and tidy work area
- Increase worker efficiency and production rates
- Work with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within and between departments
- Provide feedback for production plans to assist in ensuring that production objectives are reasonable and attainable
- Coordinate with other supervisors, leads, and managers to obtain maximum use of resources.
- Other duties as assigned

Food Safety
- Monitor department equipment and employees to ensure a sanitary environment is kept and that GMP’s are adhered too.
- Ensure that CCP (critical control points), CP (control points) and quality documents are completed at the scheduled frequency, either by other properly trained team members or themselves.
- Other duties as assigned.

Administrative
- Maintain and adhere to all company policies and procedures
- Work within the ERP system, and both manually and electronically maintain inventory of goods.
- Perform other duties as assigned

Skills, Knowledge/Experience Required to Perform the Job
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.




- Minimum 1 year of baking experience preferred
- Knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation,
- and principles of safe food handling required.
- Effective communication skills.
- Highly effective teamwork skills.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work.
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

Mental Effort Required to Perform the Job
- Visual concentration or alertness is required when inspecting products on a moving assembly line to ensure that a damaged or defective product does not reach the consumer.
- Auditory concentration or strain is experienced when communicating/interacting with coworkers and supervisor and when listening for equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks in a noisy environment.
- Higher than normal levels of attentiveness or alertness for the health and safety of others is required when supervising the production line
- Time pressures and deadlines are experienced regularly as daily production schedule must be met to ensure product is ready for shipping.

Physical Effort Required to Perform the Job Physical capacity of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds may be required.

Standing, sitting or walking for extended periods of time.

Working Conditions while performing the job

- Standard safety equipment
- Indoors, environmentally controlled
- Exposure to sound and noise. Works in a bright environment.
