Business Systems Analyst (Mainframe)

Location: Downtown Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2-4 days onsite per week)

Duration: 12 Months with possibility of extension

Rate: $70-$80/hr

We are looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst (Mainframe) to support enterprise modernization and integration initiatives within a large financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with Mainframe applications , data integration , API documentation , and business systems analysis .

Required Skills

- 8+ years of Business Systems Analysis experience.
- 5+ years supporting Mainframe applications , integrations, and modernization initiatives.
- Solid experience with:
- Mainframe technologies ( COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, IMS )
- Batch processing and online transaction processing
- RESTful APIs, JSON, Web Services
- Swagger and Postman
- Data Integration, Data Mapping, and Data Analysis
- Data quality analysis and root cause investigation
- Agile methodology
- Experience documenting functional specifications and integration requirements.
- Strong understanding of system interfaces, data flows, and business rules.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
