We are looking for an individual in the skilled trades discipline for our Maintenance technician. Must be willing to work any shift. This position reports to the maintenance supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on equipment such as: CNC boring mills, rotary grinders, CNC flame cutters, stress-relieving oven, welders, hand tools, and overhead cranes.
- Operate and maintain various shop equipment including: Bridgeport mills, lathes, forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Lead and support emergency breakdown repairs and scheduled maintenance projects.
- Follow and improve planned preventative maintenance schedules.
- Fabricate and modify parts using machine shop tools and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.




- Monitor inventory of spare parts and notify supervisor of re-stocking needs.
- Interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment by operating material handling equipment safely and complying with company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications Required:

- Proven experience in a steel manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Familiarity with WHMIS and workplace safety standards.
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Assets:

- Industrial Millwright certification or equivalent trade papers.
- Electrical and electronics experience.
- CNC mill operation and basic programming knowledge.
- Crane and rigging experience.
- Welding and fabrication skills.
- Knowledge of steel processing equipment and procedures.
