Company Description Select Finishing is a custom coating supplier serving manufacturers across North America, with plants in Ontario, Canada and Michigan, USA. The company provides e-coat and powder coat under one roof, allowing customers to source multiple finishes from a single qualified partner on either side of the border. For more than 20 years, Tier 1 stampers, OEMs, and industrial fabricators have relied on Select Finishing for high-performance coatings across automotive, agriculture, construction equipment, and consumer products.

The company is an approved Tier 2 supplier to GM, Ford, and BMW, operates an ISO 9001 certified quality system, and integrates PPAP and APQP into new program launches. Pre-treatment, masking, light assembly, and packaging are handled in-house, supporting both high-volume production and adaptable prototype or low-volume programs.

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Maintenance Technician role based in Ontario, Canada.

The Maintenance

Technician will perform routine and emergency maintenance on production and support equipment used in e-coat and powder coat operations. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, completing preventive maintenance schedules, repairing or replacing components, and documenting work performed to meet safety and quality standards. The role also involves collaborating with production teams to minimize downtime,



supporting equipment upgrades or installations, and following all workplace safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

The Maintenance

Technician is expected to maintain a clean, organized work area and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair skills for industrial production environments.

Candidates should possess effective Troubleshooting and Industrial Maintenance skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.

Candidates should possess experience in Preventive Maintenance and equipment reliability practices to reduce downtime.

Candidates should possess knowledge of safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and basic electrical and mechanical principles.

Candidates should possess the ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and schematics, and use common hand and power tools.

Candidates should possess good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with operations and quality teams.

Trade certification, apprenticeship completion, or equivalent experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance is preferred.

Experience in coating, metal fabrication, automotive, or similar industrial settings is an asset.
