Role Overview: We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Mechanical Engineering Subject Matter Expert to work on a contract basis. The role involves providing engineering expertise to support product development and technical reviews. You will evaluate mechanical systems, components, and designs for reliability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate mechanical engineering designs, prototypes, and manufacturing processes for feasibility and performance.
- Provide technical guidance on material selection, structural integrity, and failure modes analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve engineering challenges and optimize designs.
- Conduct root cause analysis for mechanical failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical engineering or product development.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for mechanical system evaluation.
- Experience with prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical components.
