& Duties

Renn Mill Center Inc. is currently seeking a junior mechanical engineer /technologist/technician to join our Engineering and design department drafting and design of agricultural equipment. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of agricultural equipment, be mechanically inclined, have good communication skills and a desire to be apart of a design team

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible to provide support to the designers by completing 3D models and drawings using a CAD software.

Other responsibilities include

Preparation of shop drawings for manufacturing.

Design of models based on sketches and concepts.

Revisions to current models.

Use of engineering principles and experience to evaluate equipment issues.

Assist in design concepts and improving the quality of Renn/Jiffy products.

Work with tech team in prototype development.

Develop jigs and fixtures.

Preparation of assembly and weldment books for manufacturing.





Provide support to production when needed in the form of following up on product manufacturing and design intent.

Working with other technicians in applying weld symbols and procedures to working drawings.

As-built drawings of new source parts.

Help build SOP ( standard operating procedures) for equipment manufacturing.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Mechanical engineer/technologist/technician

Manufacturing knowledge

Experience in CAD preferable Solidworks

Mechanical apptitude

Agricultural equipment familiarity an asset

Understand manufacturing shop drawings

Work independently on projects

Welding experience an asset

Communication skills

Familiar with Quality principles

Attention to Detail

Analytical skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
