Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Office Assistant & Medical Lab Assistant to join our healthcare team on a contractual, full-time or part-time basis. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and assist with laboratory procedures to ensure smooth and efficient healthcare delivery. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to a welcoming environment where patients feel valued and cared for every step of their health journey.

Responsibilities

- Greet and assist patients with check-in, appointment scheduling, and providing clear instructions for procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records, update medical histories, and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Prepare examination rooms and assist healthcare providers during patient consultations and procedures
- Support laboratory functions by collecting specimens, preparing samples, and ensuring proper labeling and documentation
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals, following safety protocols and medication administration guidelines




- Coordinate with medical staff to facilitate smooth clinic operations and manage appointment flow efficiently
- Ensure compliance with infection control standards, sterilization procedures, and safety regulations

Requirements

- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is highly preferred
- Robust knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with laboratory procedures
- Experience in patient care, demonstrating compassion and excellent communication skills
- Ability to accurately administer medications following prescribed protocols
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record-keeping and documentation
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Certification or training in medical assisting or related fields is an asset
