Responsibilities

- Develop and implement individualized music therapy plans for pediatric patients, incorporating evidence-based techniques aligned with medical and developmental needs
- Collaborate closely with medical teams, including doctors, nurses, and special education staff, to coordinate patient care and optimize therapy outcomes
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patients’ emotional state, cognitive abilities, and response to therapy interventions
- Facilitate engaging music sessions that promote relaxation, emotional expression, motor skills development, and social interaction




- Collect and analyze data on patient progress to inform treatment adjustments and contribute to research initiatives in pediatric music therapy
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, patient records, and case management activities in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Educate families and caregivers on how music therapy can support ongoing recovery and development outside of clinical sessions

Skills

- Proven experience working with children in clinical or educational settings, especially within hospital or pediatric environments
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to healthcare settings and patient care processes
- Knowledge of case management principles to coordinate comprehensive treatment plans effectively
- Ability to collect, interpret, and utilize data to measure therapy effectiveness and guide clinical decisions
- Familiarity with research methodologies related to music therapy applications in pediatrics or hospital care
- Experience working within special education programs or with children requiring tailored therapeutic approaches
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and engaging families in the therapy process

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
