Department: Mental Health and Addictions

This position will primarily support the Hospital to Home (H2H) Mental Health Program at the North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC). Hospital to Home provides short-term, transitional community-based support for individuals with mental health conditions who are ready for discharge but continue to require structured follow-up and stabilization in the community. This position will also support the Crisis Intervention Program and the Addiction Medicine Consult Team by way of statistical reporting and patient registrations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Experience/Knowledge:

- Graduate of a Community College in the in the Medical / Business Office Administration Course or equivalent required
- Secretarial experience
- Keyboarding (60 wpm/95 % accuracy) and Data Entry (6200 kph/95% accuracy) required
- Current Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) Certificate an asset
- Experience with computer software (Word, Excel, Power Point and Meditech) required
- Experience reporting data, use of statistical applications and order entry required
- Excellent time management skills required
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required
- Experience drafting correspondence and experience in minute taking required.

Skills/Abilities:

- Knowledge of collective agreements, payroll time sheet experience an asset
- Good attendance and work record required
- Medical Terminology an asset




- Knowledge of mental health services, community mental health and addictions resources an asset
- Must demonstrate commitment to ensure your safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers and visitors
- Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization
- Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is required. All unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and may be considered if the identified French requirement has been met or there are no successful bilingual candidates. A formal French test will be conducted to evaluate the proficiency level.
