Position

Registered Occupational Therapist to provide in-clinic and community-based assessment and treatment services to a variety of client populations including individuals with mental health needs (including Anxiety, Depression and PSTD), Neurodivergence (including Adult ADHD, Autism), along with a variety of musculoskeletal injuries and chronic conditions, servicing the National Capital Region. Position tasks may include but are not limited to:

· Lead a wide variety of programs including traditional OT intervention and assessments (Veterans, WSIB, Federal and Provincial Government, MVA).

· Working towards the goal of successfully returning ill workers to their previous or alternative employment positions

· Apply organizational and decision-making skills to manage a time constraint caseload

· Establish and maintain cooperative, professional relationships with various stakeholders, including injured workers, employers, and community health care providers





· Develop intervention programs to address clients' needs related to function in self-care, work and leisure activities

· Maintain clients records

Requirements

· Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO)

· Skilled Liability Insurance

· 3-5 years experience

· Valid driver’s license and vehicle

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Strong Team Player

· Bilingual (French & English) Oral and written an asset (English required)

· Experience working with complex trauma (PTSD) and/or with first responders an asset

· Understanding of legislation surrounding return to work, disability management, accommodation principles, organizational policies and sustainable work best practices is essential.

· Experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies, Cognitive Assessments, Exposure Therapy and Behavioral Activation is an asset.

· Experience with Functional Capacity Evaluations, In-Home Assessment and Accident Benefits as asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $39.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
