We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Educator and Driver to join our OSC team. The ideal candidate must have driving experience and a passion for working with children and a commitment to fostering a safe, nurturing, and educational environment. This role involves driving a 15-seater van and the candidate must have clean driving records, experience and confidence in driving.
Duties
- Ensure children’s safety and well-being during transport
- Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain cleanliness
- Support classroom activities and daily routines
- Adhere to daycare policies, licensing regulations, and health and safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Alberta Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Level 1, 2 or 3 Certificate
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Current First Aid/CPR Certification
- Clear Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector
- Previous driving experience is preferred
- Background in out of school care and early childhood education is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- A nurturing attitude and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
