Duties
- Greet customers warmly and identify their needs through engaging conversations about their painting projects.
- Provide expert advice on paint types, finishes, color matching, and application techniques to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist customers in selecting the appropriate products from a wide range of paints, primers, stains, brushes, rollers, and accessories.
- Demonstrate product features and benefits to help customers make informed decisions.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor that highlights new products and seasonal trends.
- Process transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems while ensuring excellent customer service.
- Keep inventory stocked and organized, including checking stock levels of popular items like digital design tools or color charts that enhance the shopping experience.
Experience
- Previous retail or sales experience preferred, especially in home improvement or hardware stores.
- Strong knowledge of paint products, color theory, and application techniques is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical details clearly and confidently.
- Passion for customer service with a positive attitude and energetic approach to engaging shoppers.
- Basic computer skills including familiarity with POS systems.
