Petalo is seeking a dedicated Part-Time night Line Cook to join our new dynamic culinary team. With Petalo getting busier by the day, we would love to hear from anyone who is a self starter, and a go getter who enjoys great food and wants to be part of something that will truly be special. Starting wage is $18-$19 per hour as well as tips on top of that wage, and a staff meal.

The schedual is a little loose for tuesday, wednesday and thursday for start times , but is always friday and saterday nights 5 to 10, sunday and monday off. This role is ideal for individuals who have school or a daytime job. must be passionate about food preparation and cooking, with experience in food service and kitchen operations a must. This is a responsible cooking position, if you have no experience, I am very sorry, but i will not contact you.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking menu items during evening hours, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety are maintained. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the food industry while contributing to a welcoming dining environment.

Duties

- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, portioning, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety and sanitation regulations




- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations
- Monitor food quality during service to ensure consistency
- Support the serving staff by promptly delivering prepared dishes
- Follow proper food safety procedures at all times to prevent contamination or spoilage
- Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed

Requirements

- Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or similar environment preferred
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting during night shifts
- Strong understanding of meal preparation techniques and food industry standards
- Excellent teamwork skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work part-time evening hours, including weekends if necessary
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable but not mandatory for motivated learners
