We are seeking a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves managing patient interactions, coordinating appointments, and ensuring smooth communication between patients and medical staff. Responsibilities
- Greet patients and assist them with check-in procedures in a professional and friendly manner
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records (EMRs) in compliance with privacy regulations
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment plans, insurance information, and follow-up care
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient flow and service delivery
- Manage phone calls, emails, and other correspondence related to patient inquiries
- Assist with billing processes and insurance verifications as needed
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry,
and document management within the office
Skills
- Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with healthcare documentation standards
- Prior experience working in a medical or dental office setting is highly desirable
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) systems is essential
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate demeanor toward patients
- Office experience that demonstrates professionalism and attention to detail
- Knowledge of dental office procedures is a plus but not required
