What You Will Do

Support the accurate and timely processing of payroll

Process payroll changes, including new hires, terminations, compensation updates, leave, overtime, earnings, and deductions

Review payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and maintain employee payroll records

Assist with payroll reconciliations, remittances, year-end reporting, and audit activities

Respond to payroll inquiries and provide support to employees and managers

Administer employee benefit programs, including enrollments, changes, and terminations

Support health and dental perks, insurance, pension, retirement savings, and employee assistance programs

Respond to benefits inquiries and work with benefit providers to resolve issues

Ensure benefits deductions, employer contributions, and provider invoices are processed accurately

Prepare payroll, benefits, and employee-related reports and maintain data in payroll and HRIS systems





Support onboarding and offboarding activities related to payroll and benefits

Prepare employee communications and resources related to payroll and benefits

Contribute to continuous improvement of payroll and benefits processes and service delivery

Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with legislative requirements and company policies

Who You Are

Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Accounting, Payroll Administration, Human Resource Management, or a related field

Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation, or working toward it, is an asset

Minimum two years of experience in payroll and benefits administration

Knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation, benefits administration, and payroll compliance requirements

Experience working with payroll and HRIS systems such as Dayforce, ADP, Payworks, or similar platforms

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information

Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships

Experience working with Indigenous Governments, organizations, and communities is considered an asset; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
