Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Location: Remote
Duration: 9+ Month Contract (Renewable)
Bilingualism : French and English
Key responsibilities
- Managing payroll processing, reconciliations, statutory remittances,
- Performing year-end reporting, and issue resolution while ensuring regulatory compliance, data integrity, and exceptional customer service
- Working closely with employees, HR, Finance, Treasury, and government agencies
Required qualifications
- Workday experience
- Canadian payroll experience in a high-volume, complex payroll environment.
- Experience processing end-to-end payroll and ensuring compliance with federal and provincial legislation.
- Experience processing year-end payroll activities, including the preparation and validation of T4, RL-1,
and other statutory income statements.
- Experience supporting internal and external payroll audits
- Knowledge of U.S. payroll processes and compliance requirements.
- Experience working within a Shared Services environment
- Experience using case management and employee support tools such as ServiceNow and Workday Help.
- Canadian Payroll Association certification (PCP or equivalent) is considered an asset.
- Solid customer service orientation with the ability to build effective relationships with employees and stakeholders.
