Job Summary

Champlain Gardens is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to our residents, This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our residents through personalized care and assistance.

Responsibilities

- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Assist with mobility and transportation needs, ensuring safety at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the living space of clients.
- Document care provided and report any significant changes in client health or behavior to appropriate personnel.
- Support clients with dementia care by engaging them in activities that stimulate cognitive function.

Requirements





- Previous experience in home care, hospice care, or caregiving is preferred.
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including medication administration and basic nursing skills.
- Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in caregiving.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting or assisting clients with mobility.
- A genuine passion for helping others and improving their quality of life is essential.

Education
