Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently, following medical terminology and dosage instructions.
- Prepare prescription labels, package medications, and ensure proper storage in compliance with safety standards.
- Manage inventory by restocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions, offering medication guidance, and supporting medication administration under supervision.
- Maintain detailed records of prescriptions, inventory logs,
and patient interactions to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Support the pharmacy team in administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and processing insurance claims.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to verify prescriptions and clarify medical orders when necessary.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a community pharmacy setting is highly preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience in Kroll Software is must.
- Experience as a pharmacy assistant or in a similar role is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to medications and patient care.
- Demonstrated ability to handle medication administration tasks accurately and responsibly.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively assist patients and coordinate with healthcare providers.
