Position Summary

Kiewit is hiring experienced TIG & RMD/FCAW B-Pressure Hand Welder Foremans for the Woodfibre project located in Squamish, BC. Hiring: Up to 20 positions

Terms of employment: Full-time; project-based

Job Duties

Duties include:

- Completing carbon steel & stainless steel (304L) closure welds for module interconnects
- Working in tight spaces/at heights
- Completing carbon steel and stainless steel (304L) welds for new construction piping systems

Requirements

- Valid Journeyperson Red Seal Welding ticket or an equivalent certification with the ability and willingness to apply for a recognized credential through a provincial trades qualifier program.
- Valid BC Class A Pressure Welder certification
- If you hold an equivalent certification/experience, you must be willing and able to obtain BC registration

- 5+ years’ experience with TIG (GTAW) welding stainless steel and carbon
- 5+ years’ experience with stick (SMAW) hand welding
- RMD experience is an asset
- Must pass weld tests per company standards – Stainless TIG, Carbon TIG, Carbon Stick, RMD/FCAW
- Must have experience performing welding work in outdoor environments, varying weather conditions, and restricted spaces

Shift Information

14 x 7 days, 10-hour shifts; overtime as per collective agreement

- Base Wage: $54.00 for B-Pressure Tig Welders
- Additional site premiums available upon:
- Successful completion of 30 DI using RMD
- Completion of 50 DI with no repair
