Duties
- Work safely in open excavations
- Lay pipes according to project specifications, ensuring proper alignment and secure connections
- Guide mainline operator safely and properly
- Inspect installed piping for leaks, damage or misalignment, making adjustments as needed
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate workflow and meet project deadlines
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment to prevent accidents
- Assist with site cleanup and restoration after pipe installation is complete
Skills
- Proven experience in pipe laying or underground utility installation preferred
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and effectively
- Robust understanding of pipe and manhole installation ,safety regulations, and environmental standards
- Excellent physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Detail-oriented with a focus on precision and quality workmanship
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors
- Valid driver’s license; CDL certification is a plus but not required
