Acara Solutions is hiring for Product Cost Engineer in St Bruno, QC

We'll look to you for:

Applying or developing methodologies to calculate the technical cost of components/systems throughout the product development cycle

Developing cost analysis methods for components/systems

Proposing design or manufacturing process improvements to reduce technical costs

Promoting a cost-conscious culture within engineering teams

Providing detailed cost breakdowns to support sourcing and negotiation activities

Sharing supplier feedback and formalizing cost-saving opportunities

Required Skills:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

5 to 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering

Experience or understanding of purchasing and/or procurement processes (an asset)

Knowledge of cost analysis methodologies and industrial processes

Experience in the transportation industry (railway, automotive, heavy equipment, etc.)

Fluency in French and English

Autonomous, proactive, and possesses technical leadership
